I have a lot of fence that I would like to cover. I've seen how cherry tomatoe and strawberry babylon bags do it but I can't have my whole fence with nothing but cherry tomatoes and strawberries so can anyone tell anymore vegetables and flowers that are viney? I already have tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, peppers, squash, melons, and beans on my list. For the flowers please tell me how often will I have to replant them.

Clematis, Luffa, Beans, Honeysuckle, Bayberry,Barberry,Ivy,Lilacs, I would just go to a local garden center and see what they have.

grape ivy is really pretty...any type of ivy looks nice.
Wild roses climb too. They smell great. And they come in all kinds of colors.
Other Replys:For a beautiful spring display Clematis is gorgeous. For flowers all summer, I have planted morning glories - these are annuals, but must be kept trimmed all summer or they take over. Also sweetpeas are pretty - again an annual. Also, gourds are fun and would blend in with the cucs!

Other Replys:If you're not way north Jasmine is a great selection. Covers well and the flowers have a great smell. Varities in white and in yellow flowers. Also honeysuckle. It has larger flowers than the Jasmine. The flowers are sort of like a small trumpet and there are several different varieties with different coloration. Humming Birds and Butterflies love them. When I was a kid we'd pull the pistils out of the flowers and suck the nectar. Sweet and delicious. Check with your local nursery and see if they're suitable for your climate.

Other Replys:As for a viney flower, try one of the passion flowers. Not only do they smell great, but once they set fruit--you can eat them much the same way that you would a pomegranate.
The maypop passion flower is very hardy and should come back year after year if your winters are not very harsh.
